More metres, more efficiency: Silotite launches Baletite 3000m at Agritechnica 2025

Silotite®, a global brand in forage film solutions, has launched its latest net replacement film at Agritechnica 2025, developed to help contractors reduce downtime and increase productivity.

Baletite® is used in combination with Silotite stretch wrap as part of the Film&Film wrapping concept – an alternative to net wrap that supports consistent bale quality while offering benefits such as reduced spoilage, easier bale opening, and simplified recyclability through use of a single-material system.

The new Baletite® 3000m is a longer-length baler film designed for large-scale contractors, with 50% more film per roll (3000 metres compared to the standard 2000 metres). This allows operators to spend more time in the field without restocking reels, reducing downtime by up to 50%, depending on usage.

“The 1330mm width is optimised for all combi machines, ensuring consistent bale formation and effective over-edge protection,” says Bart Geeraert, Silotite’s Commercial Director.

He continued: “This development responds directly to contractor feedback, delivering a film that improves output and produces denser, more stable bales with lower oxygen ingress.

“By limiting expansion, it also helps maintain bale quality during storage, supporting effective ensiling conditions and long-term forage quality”.

Following the integration of Amcor and Berry Global earlier this year, Silotite now benefits from Amcor’s technical expertise, supporting the development of next-generation agricultural films that combine crop protection, operational reliability, and more sustainable options.

Mr Geeraert adds: “For farmers, contractors, and distributors, this means greater security of supply, stronger technical support, and continued investment in innovation.”

Silotite has been a leading bale wrap brand for over 40 years, with Film&Film now well-established in markets such as Western Europe and Oceania.

Silotite films are engineered to perform across diverse climates, from Australia and South Africa to Northern Europe.
